Mit den Verbesserungen und Fehlerbehebungen in dieser Version soll Red Viper lt. dem Entwickler nun der akkurateste Virtual-Boy-Emulator sein.

* Improved timer emulation to fix sample playback in Galactic Pinball and Teleroboxer
* Added memory access time emulation, which fixes numerous games
** Fixes sample playback in Virtual Bowling and Niko-Chan Battle, along with improved timer emulation
** Improves emulation performance in 3D Tetris
** Correctly emulated game speed in Golf
** Fixes Blox 2 intro cutting off early
* Fixed graphical glitches and fixed intro chime in Waterworld
* Improved audio emulation to fix some homebrew, including the Blox games and the Formula V demo
* Allow loading savestates from older versions

Ein Anaglyph-Modus mit konfigurierbaren Farben für jedes Auge wurde hinzugefügt. Neu ist auch eine sogenannte Render-Time-Emulation, die Spiele mit der gleichen Geschwindigkeit wie der Virtual Boy laufen lässt. Zudem wurden einige Bugs gefixt, die Kompatibilität verbessert und Game-Fixes werden nun basierend auf der Spiele-ID angewendet anstatt anhand der Checksumme, womit die Kompatibilität mit ROM-Hacks verbessert wird.

* Fix audio bug in Colony intro in Galactic Pinball

* Apply game fixes based on game ID rather than checksum, for better compatibility with ROM hacks

* Update software framebuffer more conservatively to improve performance in Waterworld and 3-D Tetris
* Adjusted gamma correction for improved visibility
* Fix D-Pad ABXY mirroring having an incorrect right input

Ein Antiflicker kann nun aktiviert werden, was gerade auf IPS-Bildschirmen helfen sollte. Ferner wurde ein kritischer Bug behoben, bei dem der Emulator abstürzte, wenn ein Spiel gestartet wurde und das Home-Verzeichnis nicht existierte.

* Added antiflicker option to mitigate image retention issues, particularly on IPS models
* Added an input display (buttons light up in red if turbo is enabled and blue if toggle is enabled)
* Fixed a critical bug where the emulator crashes when starting a game if the home directory doesn't exist

Die Buttons können beliebig umgemapped und Konfigurationen pro Spiel angepasst werden. Ferner wurde ein seltener Absturz beim Start behoben

Control changes
* New "Custom" control scheme (#67)
* In the Custom control scheme, any 3DS button can be mapped to any VB button
* Toggle and Turbo modes are available for each button
* The previous control menu is still available as "Preset" for its ease of use
* Added remapping option to 3DS D-Pad in Preset mode (#65)
* Virtual buttons on the touchscreen can now be set to the face buttons by default
* "Switch" button can now be turned off

Other settings changes
* Configurations can now be game-specific, including controls, graphics, etc
* Moved rv_config.ini to a more standard location (sdmc:/config/red-viper)
* The red-viper directory with savestates and per-game configs can be moved by manually editing rv_config.ini
* Added VBLink for homebrew developers, accessible by pressing Y on the main menu (will be supported in future versions of VUEngine Studio)

Other changes
* Improved stability for capture cards
* Fixed occasional bug where the emulator would crash on startup

Die Anzeige wird nun auf 50 Hz gezwungen, was der originalen Bildwiederholrate des Virtual Boys entspricht und somit für ein flüssigeres Gameplay sorgt. Zudem wird das Bild in vollen 24-Bit Farben angezeigt und einige Kompatibilitätsprobleme wurden behoben. Die Audioausgabe ist nun klarer und zahlreiche VB-Homebrews wurden gefixt. Außerdem wird das Spiel nun gespeichert, wenn der Standby-Modus aktiviert wird.

This release features much smoother gameplay, partially thanks to running the 3DS displays at 50Hz! Also includes a number of compatibility improvements, especially with homebrew.

UPDATE, 25.03.24, 18:42 Uhr: Die v0.9.2.1 behebt einige kritische Fehler. So funktioniert die CIA auf dem Old3DS nun korrekt und der Absturz-Bildschirm hinterlässt keine Geisterbilder mehr.

Mit an Board ist eine neue Audio-Engine und einige Kompatibilitätsverbesserungen. Auf dem Old3DS können nun 16 MB ROMs geladen werden und die Geschwindigkeit der Musik in "Golf" wurde behoben. Ferner werden ZIP-Dateien unterstützt und die GUI lässt sich mit den Knöpfen bedienen, anstatt nur über Touch. Zudem lässt sich das Mapping der Schultertasten ändern und ein eigener Knopf zum Deaktivieren der Hintergrundbeleuchtung festlegen.

Der 3D-Effekt lässt sich nun mit dem Slider einstellen und im 2D-Modus kann festgelegt werden, welche Ansicht von welchem Auge angezeigt wird. Die Farbe der GUI passt sich dem eingestellten Farbfilter an und das Gameplay lässt sich vorspulen. Zudem wurden Abstürze in den Spielen von T&E Soft behoben und wenn Red Viper über das HOME-Menü beendet wird, während ein Spiel pausiert ist.
