Wiimm hat seine SZS-Tools aktualisiert.

- Option --kcl-min=EXPR: This option is deprecated, but still supported. Itis an alternative name for --tri-height=EXPR now.
- New option --tri-area=EXPR: Define the minimal area size of KCL triangles.The intention is to ignore triangles that are generally to small. EXPR isa floating point number or expression. Triangles are invalidated if theirarea size is smaller than EXPR. The test is executed after reading files,after transformations, and after calculating normals and lengths. Valuesbetween 0.01 and 4.0 are recommended. The careful value 1.0 is used asdefault. Value 0 disables this filter functionality.
- New option --tri-height=EXPR: Define the minimal height of KCL triangles.The intention is to ignore deformed triangles (very slim, but long). EXPRis a floating point number or expression. Triangles are invalidated if atleast 1 of the 3 heights is smaller than EXPR. The test is executed afterreading files, after transformations, and after calculating normals andlengths. Values between 0.01 and 2.0 are recommended. The careful value 0.1is used as default. Value 0 disables this filter functionality.
- You can proof the impact of the options above by command wkclt TEST.
- Command wkclt DUMP has been expanded and shows metrics like side length,area size and heights for each triangle.
- New command: wkclt LIST: Print a list of all triangles with metrics inhuman and machine readable text format. It is like command DUMP, butreduced to the list of triangles.
- New implementation for OBJ groups without assigned KCL flag. They will beinserted into the OBJ export now.

Wiimm hat wieder eine neue Ausgabe seiner populären Custom-Track-Distribution veröffentlicht.

Diese Ausgabe enthält wie immer 248 Strecken, inklusive Nintendos 32 Original-Strecken. Außerdem wurde ein Rotations-Prinzip eingeführt: Jede Strecke landet in einem "Topf" mit verschiedenen Bewertungen – die Strecken mit den besten Bewertungen schaffen es in die nächste Ausgabe. Auch gibt es Strecken, die permanent mit dabei sein werden.

In dieser Ausgabe gibt es 34 neue Strecken – eine genaue Übersicht findet ihr auf ct.wiimm.de. Ferner gibt es noch zwei neue Features:

  • Die Streckenauswahl merkt sich jetzt im Online-Voting auch die Strecke und nicht nur den Cup
  • Die Streckenauswahl lässt sich nun auch in der zweiten Reihe scrollen und die Pfeile müssen nicht mehr ausgewählt werden, was diese deutlich bequemer macht.

- New command: wszst DISTRIBUTION: The aim is to create a text file that describes a custom track distribution. The owner have to edit the created file and send it to Wiimm. Wiimm add the information to the custom track portal https://ct.wiimm.de/ with a complete track list.

Changelog 

- At the beginning of Wiimms-SZS-Tools I extraced the universal usable source code from Wiimms-ISO-Tools and created an independent C source code library called »dcLib«. I use this dcLib also for some other projects like mkw-ana, Wiimmfi, XDump and some more private projects. Now I inserted the expanded and more functional dcLib back into Wiimms-ISO-Tools and removed old WIT specific functions and members with same name or functionality. The great advantage is the easier management of the shared sources. The adapted code works fine with at least one issue: The error codes (numbers, not names) changed. If you used »wit error« to translate numbers to messages, you'll not have any problems.
- New options: --color[=mode], --256-colors, --no-colors: Define the color mode of the tools. If a command is prefixed by 'C-', then --color=ON is used implicitly as default. By default, the color support is only enabled for terminals. However, commands have to be recoded to support colors.
- List of commands with color support:

  - wit ID6 + ID8 (highlight unusal IDs)
  - wwt SPACE
- Bug fix: When extracting GameCube images, »fst.bin« was 4 times too large.
- Some minor fixes.

- Apple Mac is no longer supported because I no longer have access to a Mac.

Wiimmfi wird drei: Wiimms Mario Kart Fun 2017-05 veröffentlicht

Heute vor drei Jahren wurde der Nintendo Wi-Fi-Connection Ersatz "Wiimmfi" für die Öffentlichkeit freigegeben. Aus diesem Grund veröffentlichte Wiimm heute eine neue Ausgabe seiner Custom-Mario-Kart-Distribution "Wiimms Mario Kart Fun"!

Diese Ausgabe enthält wie immer 248 Strecken, inkl. der 32 Original-Strecken. Eine Streckenliste findet ihr im Custom Mario Kart Wiki. Insgesamt gibt es 17 neue und 10 aktualisierte Strecken – die Liste findet ihr unten in den Spoilern. Feeder hat auch ein hübsches Cover erstellt:

Zur Feier des Tages gibt es auch einen Custom-Wettbewerb für das normale Mario Kart Wii. Hierfür muss der Competition Patcher (Wii) bzw. Downloader (Wii U) ausgeführt werden.

Wiimms ISO Tools v2.40a r7331

Wiimm hat nach knapp zwei Jahren seine ISO-Tools aktualisiert.

Dies ist die letzte Version aus der v2.*-Serie. Wiimm plant, den Code neu zu organisieren und seine eigene C-Source-Library zu nutzen. Auch sollen Wii-U-Formate unterstützt werden. Das neue Kommando "wit ID8" wurde hinzugefügt, welches die Title-ID von Spielen und die Versionsnummer ausgibt. Die Titel-Datenbank wurde aktualisiert und Cygwin für Windows wurde aktualisiert. Näheres im Changelog.

- This will be the last release of v2.* series. I plan to reorganize the code and to use my own C source library and to integrate Wii U support.
- New command: wit ID8: Print ID6 + 2 next bytes as disc and version number.
- Title database: Definitions without titles (e.g. "RMCP =") will remove the related title from the internal title database. If a ID is followed by a star (e.g. "RMC* ="), then all titles beginning with the ID are removed.
- Title database updated.

Wenn leere Dateien gelesen wurden, gab es manchmal einen Segfault – dies wurde gefixt. Außerdem unterstützt die Option –draw nun das Keyword "DECORATION"-  damit werden nicht solide Objekte ohne Route als magentafarbener Quader angezeigt.

- Bug fix: Occasional a "Segmentation fault" occured, if reading an empty file.
- Option --draw supports the new keyword DECORATION: Draw unsolid objects without any route as a magenta cuboid.

Wiimm hat eine neue Ausgabe seines Mario Kart Wii Hacks veröffentlicht!

Es gibt 11 neue Strecken, aber es werden auch 11 Strecken entfernt, was die Zahl von 248 Strecken unverändert lässt. Der Online-Modus wurde verbessert, so kann der Host nun festlegen, wie viele Rennen gefahren werden (zwischen 1 und 10), die Fahrzeuge auf einen Typ begrenzen oder sich selbst alle Votes gewinnen lassen (d.h., die Strecke, die der Host gewählt hat, wird so immer dran kommen. Perfekt für Turniere!). Diese Features werden mithilfe von speziellen Chat-Nachrichten im Raum aktiviert.

- wstrt is able to patch DOL files of other games and not only of MKWii.
- The CHECK for slot 4.2 will be more exact now because it looks for the needed materials. The presence flags of objects 'car_body' and 'kart_truck' is also tested. If option --OLD is set, the old polygon test will be used.
- Option --kmp=list supports now the keyword REVERSE as `backwards| support: Reverse KMP sections ENPH, ENPT, ITPH, ITPT, POTI. The implementation is not finished yet and more section (CKPH, CKTP, KTPT, JGPT) will follow.
- Different small fixes.
