Zwei neue Optionen wurden hinzugefügt mit denen das GamePad eingeschaltet bleibt, wenn es geladen wird und automatisch ausgeschaltet werden kann, nachdem die Konsole gestartet wurde. Letzteres klappt allerdings nicht, wenn die Wii U mit dem GamePad angeschaltet wird.

* Add option to keep the GamePad on while it's charging/plugged in.
* Add option to power off the GamePad on boot.
** It will not power off if it was used to turn on the console.
