Luma3DS ist die beliebteste Custom Firmware für den Nintendo 3DS.
Die "config.bin" wird beim Start zu einer "config.ini" migriert, die auch mit einem Texteditor bearbeitet werden kann. Die folgenden Optionen lassen sich zudem nur noch über diese INI setzen und nicht mehr im Config-Menü:
- "Splash duration"
- "Set developer UNITINFO"
- "Disable Arm11 exception handlers"
- "Enable Rosalina on SAFE_FIRM"
Auch wird die Einstellung "Show NAND or user string in System Settings" standardmäßig aktiviert. Die Bildschirmfilter und Zeitzone (für NTP) werden ebenfalls in dieser config.ini abgelegt.
Beim Start von Luma3DS werden wichtige System-Dateien (wie Bootrom, OTP, LocalFriendCodeSeed, etc.) automatisch nach "/luma/backups" auf der SD-Karte gesichert, falls noch nicht vorhanden. Die "boot.firm" wird auch automatisch in den CTRNAND kopiert, sodass Luma3DS ohne SD-Karte gestartet werden kann.
Ferner kann im Rosalina-Menü der Cartridge-Slot deaktiviert werden, was insbesondere für Nutzer mit Akku-hungrigen DS-Flashkarten interessant ist.
Wer die inoffizielle Version von Luma3DS mit dem 3GX-Loader benutzt (für NTR) muss sich noch einen Tag gedulden, aber Nanquitas arbeitet daran!
