* Screenshot Transfer via HTTP: Users can now transfer screenshots from their device to a PC using HTTP. This feature is available under the Tools > Browse Album via HTTP menu option. * Configuration Options: ** EnableNSZ=true: Allows NSZ/XCZ installation in applet mode. This option disables the installation of NSZ/XCZ files when DBI is running in applet mode. It ensures installations can only be done in title mode, either through a forwarder or a game. This mode is characterized by a black background in the application, eliminating the error due to memory insufficiency during unpacking. ** CreateLFS=true: Creates a LFS (Large File Storage) folder in /atmosphere/contents after game installation. * Traditional Chinese Translation: A new version of the application, DBI_znch.nro, has been added to support Traditional Chinese language.
dbi.config
; Allow NSZ/XCZ install in applet mode
EnableNSZ=true
The default setting is true, guess like it always has been; i haven’t had any problems installing (eg: FC24 update ~20GB nsz) updates in the applet mode.
Anyone suggestions when I could run into trouble?
It’s not recommended to use Applet Mode at all, it’s buggy and has too limited memory. Always use Title Takeover.
Thanks, guess I got lucky. Also I thought I read that DBI was intended to use in the applet mode, but will use the title takeover from now.
So, could someone please explain what this does?
Is it recommended enabling by default, drawbacks?
Is it per game and what about currently installed games?
Thanks for taking the time to explain this feature.
I’m not quite sure but after thinking about this some more I think the dev means LayeredFS and not "Large File Storage". So it should create a folder with the TitleID of the game after installation (of a new game) in "/atmosphere/contents/". I will correct it in the post.
Adding to this: It doesn’t matter if it’s enabled, it’s just a "comfort feature".
Ah, so it creates only the Atmospere layeredFS folders to potentially add some binary modifications by the user. Thanks for clarifying this 🙂
Literally vor 1 Stunde meine Switch inklusive DBI geupdated. Hätte das nich früher kommen können? 😀
