Cpasjuste hat Portable Final Burn Alpha aktualisiert.

Die Schriftart, sowie die Button-Konfiguration wurden geändert. 32×32 PNGs im "icons"-Ordner oder Titelbilder im "titles"-Ordner lassen sich nun als Icons verwenden – viele verlängern allerdings die Ladezeiten. ROM-spezifische Konfigurationen werden nicht mehr auf alle ROMs angewendet und einige weitere, kleinere Fehler und Abstürze wurden behoben. Zudem werden einzelne Joy-Con nun unterstützt – näheres im Changelog unten.

DarkMatterCore hat sein gcdumptool aktualisiert.

Der exFAT-Modus ist nun automatisch aktiv und die Padding-Option wurde mit einer Trimming-Option wie beim XCI Cutter ersetzt. Auch wird die verbleibende Zeit und die Dump-Geschwindigkeit angezeigt und der XCI-Dump lässt sich mithilfe einer XML von NSWdb.com verifizieren. Downloadet diese einfach und packt sie in den Root der SD-Karte! Das funktioniert allerdings nur, wenn ein vollständiger Dump angelegt wird. Wenn die XML genutzt wird, werden Dumps nun auch nach den Szene-Releases benannt – für Mario Odyssey also bspw. "Super.Mario.Odyssey.NSW-BigBlueBox.xci" statt "0100000000010000_20180625-234930.xci"

gcdumptool Changelog 

* exFAT mode turned on by default.
* Replaced padding option with a trim output dump option (same as XCI-Cutter).
* Added dump speed and ETA calculation.
* Added XCI dump verification using XML database from nswdb.com (NSWreleases.xml). The file must be saved to the SD card root directory. Also, keep in mind that dump verification is only performed if you choose to create a full dump (with or without cert), not a trimmed one.
* Made CRC32 checksum calculation + XCI dump verification a configurable option.
* Output XCI dumps will get renamed to their corresponding Scene release if a match is found using the XML database from nswdb.com (e.g. "sdmc:/0100000000010000_20180625-234930.xci" -> "sdmc:/Super.Mario.Odyssey.NSW-BigBlueBox.xci").

StudentBlake hat eine neue Version seines XCI Explorer Forks veröffentlicht.

Im "Partitions"-Tab lassen sich die NCA-Dateien verifizieren – dazu einfach auf eine NCA klicken und unten im Fenster steht dann, ob die NCA valide (grün) oder defekt (rot) ist. Des Weiteren lassen sich XCIs jetzt in die Textbox ziehen, um sie sofort zu öffnen.

XCI Explorer Changelog 

v1.2.0.0:
This release adds drag and drop capabilities and some minor fixes. Just drag the XCI to the file text box (where the path would be located) and it will automatically load that file.

v1.2.0.0:
Check the partitions tab for a new feature! You can now check the integrity of your NCA files before you extract them. Just click on an NCA and look at the bottom for information (green = match, red = corrupt).

SX OS v1.2

Team Xecuter steht nicht still und hat bereits das zweite Update für ihr SX OS veröffentlicht.

CARD2-Spiele lassen sich jetzt abspielen! Auf nswdb.com findet ihr eine Liste mit allen, einfach nach rechts scrollen und nach "card" sortieren. Die Homebrew-Kompatibilität wurde auch wieder verbessert, so funktioniert pSNES nun. Zu guter Letzt wird die eFUSES-Prüfung jetzt übersprungen, sodass gedowngradete Firmwares verwendet werden können.

SX OS v1.1

Team Xecuter haben ihr SX OS aktualisiert.

Die Homebrew-Kompatibilität wurde verbessert und ein Schutz vor dem "Brennen" von eFUSES wurde hinzugefügt, damit Downgrades später trotzdem noch durchgeführt werden können. Auch werden jetzt Zertifikate in XCIs unterstützt, damit online gespielt werden kann.

UPDATE: Einige Homebrews funktionieren aber leider immer noch nicht. Hier kann aber einfach hekate gechainloadet werden.

ACHTUNG: Natürlich solltet ihr eure eigenen Dumps verwenden, damit ihr euer eigenes Zertifikat habt. Genullte oder Zertifikate von anderen könnten zu einem Bann führen – natürlich weiß keiner wie Nintendo darauf reagiert und geteilte Zertifikate gab es auch schon auf dem 3DS.

Team Xecuter hat noch weitere Updates in der Pipeline – CARD2-Spiele sollen in Zukunft unterstützt werden (das sind die mit einer separaten Logo-Partition; auf nswdb.com nach "cart" sortieren) und ein Card-Dumper soll folgen. Außerdem entschuldigen sie sich, dass das Liefern des SX Pro so lange dauert.

NX-Shell v1.0.2 (Beta 3)

Joel16 hat die dritte Beta seines Dateimanagers für die Switch veröffentlicht.

Audio-Dateien (MP3, MIDI, FLAC, OGG, WAV, MOD) lassen sich jetzt abspielen – allerdings wurden nur OGG, WAV und MP3 getestet und "Vorheriger/Nächster" funktioniert nur bei MP3-Dateien. ID3v1 und v2 Tags werden unterstützt. Der Touchscreen kann nun verwendet werden, auch um das neue On-Screen-Keyboard zu benutzen, um Dateien umzubenennen.

Ein paar Fehler wurden natürlich auch behoben. So können Ordner wieder rekursiv verschoben werden und leere Verzeichnisse werden korrekt geöffnet. Zudem wurden die leeren Einstellungen durch einen "Über"-Dialog ersetzt.

Features:
* Initial support for playing Audio files. (Following formats are supported: MP3, MIDI, FLAC, OGG, WAV, MOD. Please note I have only tested OGG, WAV and MP3). Music player only supports pause/play for all audio files and next/previous for MP3 files only. ID3v1/ID3v2 is supported.
* Initial touch screen support thanks to StevenMattera!
* Use left /right key to reach end/start of directory list.
* Initial support for OSK (on screen keyboard). You can use the touchscreen, or if you wish, you can use the buttons. ZL = shift, ZR = caps, PLUS = accept, MINUS = return, A - enter character and B - remove character.
* Rename and New Folder now works.

Fixes:
* Fixed bug when opening empty directories.
* Fixed moving folders recursively.
* Replaced the empty 'general settings' with an 'about' dialog in settings menu.

XCI Cutter v2.4.2

Destiny1984 hat seinen XCI Cutter zum Splitten und Trimmen von Nintendo-Switch-Backups aktualisiert.

UPDATE: Laut Usern auf GBATemp funktioniert das Splitten immer noch nicht. Eventuell die Karte vorher mit 32k Cluster formatieren.

UPDATE 2: Obiges sind Userfehler – falls es nicht funktionieren: XCI NEU splitten oder alte Splits mit älterer Version neu zusammenfügen und mit neuer Version splitten!

Die Split-Größe wurde zu einem Mehrfachen von 32k geändert, um mit der Clustergröße der SD-Karte übereinzustimmen. Somit funktionieren gesplittete XCIs nun mit SX OS. Natürlich müssen falsch gesplittete XCIs erneut gesplittet werden.

Checkpoint Switch v3.3.0

BernardoGiordano hat der Switch-Version von Checkpoint ein Update spendiert.

Die ganze Oberfläche wurde überarbeitet. Titel werden nun mit Icons und pro User angezeigt. Auch sind jetzt detaillierte Infos sichtbar, Animationen wurden hinzugefügt und Memory-Leaks behoben.

Adubbz hat eine Homebrew für die Nintendo Switch veröffentlicht, welche den Ende April entdeckten "Super Update-Nag" patcht.

Nun gibt es leider ein kleines Problem: Die NRO muss über das Homebrew Menu aufgerufen werden und das geht mit dem Supernag ja nicht. Insofern ist hier ein kleiner Umweg über hekate (startbar per Fusée Gelée) vonnöten, welches mittlerweile auf jeder Firmware gestartet werden kann (und sogar die Nutzung von Homebrew auf jeder Firmware ermöglicht!).

NX-Shell v1.0.1 Beta 2

Joel16 hat NX-Shell aktualisiert.

Eine Menüleiste wurde hinzugefügt, welche mit Y geöffnet werden kann. Momentan sind dort nur die Einstellungen verfügbar, wo sich auch ein Dark Mode aktivieren lassen kann. Sortieroptionen wurden hinzugefügt und ZIPs lassen sich extrahieren, sowie BMPs und GIFs betrachten (wobei letztere nicht animiert werden). Des Weiteren wurden noch einige Fehler behoben.

* Added a menu bar - Use the Y button to access it. (Can only open settings for now, so the settings icon stays highlighted. The animation is something I tend to improve upon in later releases)
* Added dark theme mode. (Can be enabled/disabled in settings)

* Fixed copy/move being enabled at the same time. If you press B in the options dialog it will cancel the item that is currently in the copy/move list. Instead, X should be used to open/close the file options dialog. The row/column will also reset when the B key is pressed.
* Freed some textures that weren't previously freed, also free entries once we are done using them.

BernardoGiordano hat den Speicherdaten-Manager "Checkpoint" für den Nintendo 3DS und die Switch aktualisiert.

In der Switch-Version lassen sich Speicherstände nun mit L und R sichern und wiederherstellen und einige Abstürze auf einigen Firmware-Versionen wurden behoben. Auch werden Spiele mit Nicht-ASCII-Zeichen im Namen jetzt korrekt angezeigt.

* Added: touch-less backup and restore by using L and R.
* Fixed: occasional crashes on various firmware versions are now fixed.
* Fixed: now the user interface uses the Shared Font: this means you're now allowed to see the correct name for games with non-ascii characters in their name.

Die 3DS-Version hat Unterstützung für eine config.json erhalten. Damit lassen sich Titel filtern, mehr Ordner hinzufügen und Speicherdaten von Systemtiteln sichern. Mehr zur Einrichtung kann auf GitHub gefunden werden. Auch hier lassen sich Speicherstände mit L und R sichern bzw. wiederherstellen und neben kleineren Fixes wurde auch ein nerviger Fehler behoben, bei dem der Cursor nicht wieder in die erste Zeile ist, wenn die Seite gewechselt wurde.

Hier sind die Homebrew-Updates der letzten Tage, namentlich: Swiss, NDS-Bootstrap und PyNX.

Swiss wurde auf v0.4 r451 aktualisiert.

What's new?
* Async prefetching has been implemented!
* (This does not apply to the SDK5 DSi build.)
* The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, now saves to SD card, so you no longer need a donor cart for saving.
* L+R+START+SELECT now activates a new method of soft-resetting a game.
* For 3DS, TWLNAND side of TWLoader is rebooted. For DSi, "SRLoader: Last-ran ROM" is booted.

Improvements
* 16MB/32MB RAM mode is now always used, so to access the cache, RAM mode switching no longer occurs.
* As a result, performance has been slightly increased.
* MegaMan Zero Collection (USA) now loads at near cart speeds!
* Some games that used DSi WRAM as cache, no longer uses it, and instead uses main RAM as cache, like most other games do.

Bug fixes
* Since RAM mode switching no longer occurs, game compatibility has been improved a bit, such as Metroid Prime Hunters (non-Korean) now working for the first time since a year or less.
* DS Download Play support is now fixed for SDK1-4 games! That means DS Download Station/Haxxstation is working again!
* NOTE: Please turn off donor ROM, for your ROM containing DLP, before using the DLP feature.
* Some games that needed donor ROM force-used, no longer needs it force-used.
* DLP demos using thumb, now work.
* DSiWarehax fixes have been implemented to the 3DS build.
* SRLoader v4.1.0 will use the 3DS build for 3DS users using DSiWarehax.

Regression
* As 16MB/32MB RAM mode is always used, and the cardEngine arm9 code has been moved from DSi WRAM, to the 4MB DS debug RAM area (main RAM) for DLP to work, that area is now used, so now only 24MB or lower (8MB or lower, for DSi) ROMs can be loaded into RAM.

PyNX wurde auf v0.5.1-alpha aktualisiert.

PyNX hat ein eigenes Menü bekommen, mit dem Python-Skripte ausgewählt werden können. Diese müssen mit irgendeinem Namen im /switch/ Ordner oder in einen Unterordner dieses Ordners liegen und dann "main.py" heißen.

Final Burn Alpha wurde auf v0.2.97.43 aktualisiert. Savestates und NVRAM-Support wurden behoben/aktualisiert (die alten Ordner "config" und "saves" müssen gelöscht werden, um Abstürzen vorzubeugen) und die Unterstützung für einen einzelnen Joy-Con wurde vorerst entfernt. Ferner müssen Konsolen-ROMs nun in einem Unterverzeichnis von /swtich/pfba/roms/ liegen (s. Changelog).
